Kaizen hospital is Gujarat’s first gastroenterology super specialty hospital with spectrum of advanced facilities and a team that extends compassion along with care. It is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Kaizen diagnoses and treats every GI problem under one roof. The hospital has a team of dedicated, highly qualified & well experienced doctors utilizing state-of-art technology, backed up by courteous administrative staff to provide complete patient satisfaction

It has patient rooms from sharing rooms to VIP suite rooms along with in-house complete Radiology (including X-ray, USG, CT Scan) amd comprehensive pathology services with support of emergency & critical care unit. The hospital offers facilities for state of the art HD Video endoscopy, HD Video laparoscopy surgery, endosonography, 24 Hr pH Metry and Manometry, capsule endoscopy and argon plasma laser coagulation.

Admission

Before Admission

  • The admissions department is on the first floor and will collect your deposit according to the class of admission
  • The surgical bookings are confirmed by the admission department a day prior to surgery.
  • While all efforts will be made to give you a bed / class of your choice, this may not always be possible.
  • Only a surgeon / consultant can authorize cancelation or postponement of a surgery on medical grounds and authorize a refund. Please contact the admission counter for all issues related to cancellation.
  • Reservations cannot be made for be classes.

On Admission

  • Keep some cash for miscellaneous purposes in case of an emergency.
  • Please safe guard your valuables and mobile phones.
  • The hospital will not be liable for any loss of money or valuables.
  • If a bed class or location of your choice is no available at the time of admission, you may give your request to the admission desk in writing and they will try their best to accommodate your request. We cannot promise a change in bed class or location as this depends strictly on bed availability and clinical condition of the patient.
  • 24 hour attendant entry pass and visitor pass issued on the basis of room categories by the admission desk. The admission desk is not obliged to issue extra visitor or attendant passes. Remember, noise levels and visitor borne infections can hinder the recovery of patient.

After Admission

  • The bed charge is calculated on 24 hour basis irrespective of the time of admission.
  • Upgrade / downgrade of the class of bed affect your billing.
  • When you move up to a higher class the billing from the day one will be as per higher class.
  • When you move down to a lower class, the billing from the day of transfer will be as per the lower class.
  • Change in bed class after admission is done strictly as per bed availability.
  • Interim bill statements will be made available to you on a daily basis. We would appreciate it if amount accrued to your account is settled with 24 hours.

During Your Stay

House Keeping

  • Consumption of alcohol , cigarettes, chewing gum and tobacco, as well as spitting is strictly prohibited.
  • A hygienic environment is essential for your health. Help us maintain our standards.
  • Keep the toilets clean and dry.
  • Use the dust bin for disposal of any waste.

Staff

  • Our doctors are experienced in GI patient care. The talent pool is further strengthened by qualified and well trained nursing and technical professionals. We have 24 x 7 nursing staff and doctors available for IPD patients.

Inpatient Meals

  • Complimentary food to patient.
  • The hospital kitchen is equipped to serve well balanced vegetarian meals.
  • Special diets will be served as prescribed by the doctor.
  • All meals are planned and their preparation is supervised by trained and competent dieticians.
  • No outside food is allowed for patients.

Other Services

Clothes & linen

  • It is mandatory that the patient wear hospital clothes.
  • The hospital provides washed and clean linen to all patients.
  • For any additional requirement of linen, you may contact the ward nurse.

Facility management services

  • In case of any electrical faults with light switches, A/C, TV etc, or plumbing items like showers, flushes etc, please inform the PRO on duty for assistance.
  • Please do not attempt to shift or repair any electrical item.
  • Do not touch the hospital and suction pump equipment.
  • The windows are locked. Do not attempt to open them.
  • Use of mobile phones is restricted in patient care area.

Discharge

  • Discharge of the patient will be authorized as per the doctor’s opinion.
  • Incase the patient / relative wishes to be transferred to another hospital or be sent home against the advice of the doctor, the patient / relative would be required to sign a ‘discharge against medical advice’ declaration and the hospital will not be held responsible for any change in the patient’s condition, thereafter.
  • Your discharge, summary and report will be given to you by the floor staff at the time of discharge.

General Guidelines

At the time of admission following passes will be issued to inpatient/relative by the admission department and the information regarding the policy of the statement will also be explained to inpatient/relative by the same department.

General Guidelines for Patients & Visitors

  •  Children are not allowed as visitors in the hospital.
  • All patient visitors will be allowed to access to inpatient floor only when carrying valid visitor passes.
  • People with fever, cold, sores, cough, nasal drainage, colds, diarrhea, or any contagious disease should not visit patients.
  • Visitors should maintain a quite environment and avoid unnecessary nose to optimize patients rest. Keep visits short and quiet.
  • Due to confidentiality, visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatment or when doctor / nurses consult with the patient.
  • For safety reasons, visitation may be limited when the patient is in isolation precautions.
  • Do not bring eatables, battery operated toys, cameras and flowers in the hospital.
  • In case of fire, use fire staircase following signage.

Temple and prayer room

  • A temple and prayer room is situated on the ground floor.

Canteen

  • Located on top floor which serves healthy and tasty food to patient’s relatives and visitors.

In-house pharmacy

  • We have in house pharmacy department which provides medicine to all indoor and outdoor patients. Pharmacy is available 24 x 7. Qualified pharmacist is present round the clock.
